Our team consists of entrepreneurs, programmers, developers, and marketing executives with many years of experience in the ground transportation industry, IT and other industries. We have leveraged this expertise to create the global standard for mobile app car service. All of us believe that putting the consumer "in charge" will result in great improvements in the ground transportation industry that, for too long, has not been "user friendly". Our patent-pending technology allows users, for the first time, to get companies to compete for their business. This "reverse auction" bidding technology will also fill up empty cars and generate new users so companies benefit as well.
The team is led by Alan Stapleton, the President and Founder of Ride Command. He founded the company in 2012 after personally experiencing how "unfriendly" the car service industry can be. He saw that the industry was disaggregated and did not provide consumers with the knowledge they need to take command of their experience and have confidence that the company selected is reputable and reliable. So he developed a business model where consumers are "in charge" of their experience.
From 2007 to 2011, he was President and Founder of a "virtual" employment agency that operated nationwide and used a business model that was unique in the industry at the time. Because this innovative technology permitted employees to be very productive, his company experienced rapid growth with millions in sales and thousands of placements.
Prior to 2007, he was Assistant Director at the U.S. Government Accountability Office in Washington, D.C. Over his 33-year career at GAO, he developed new and innovative approaches for evaluating government programs at the request of Congress. He received numerous awards for improving the efficiency of several government IT programs that generated billions of dollars in additional government revenues. Also, while at GAO, his innovative approaches to prevent and measure employment discrimination received numerous awards and were adopted by other organizations.
He has an M.B.A and a B.S. from the University of Maryland.
